CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Mayor Pro Tern Jerry Clarke at 6:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Members of City Council Present: Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Chuck <br />Engelken, Peter Griffiths, Alton Porter, Charlie Young and Mayor Pro Tern Jerry <br />Clarke. <br /> <br />Members of City Council Absent: Mayor Norman Malone and Councilpersons <br />Howard Ebow and Deotis Gay. <br /> <br />Members of City Executive Staff and City Employees Present: City Manager <br />Robert T. Herrera, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, City Attorney Knox <br />Askins, City Secretary Martha Gillett, Director of Public Works Steve Gillett, <br />Parks and Recreation Director Stephen Barr, Finance Director Cynthia Alexander, <br />Assistant Police Chief Aaron Corrales, Lieutenant Carl Crisp, Assistant Public <br />Works Director Buddy Jacobs, Assistant Finance Director Michael Dolby, Parts <br />Manager Mike Collins, Secretary II Gay Collins, Emergency Services Director <br />Joe Sease, Equipment Services Superintendent Lee Allen and Retiree Bonnie <br />Lopez. <br /> <br />Others Present: Spero Pomonis, Colleen Hicks, David Webb, Phil Johnson, Dave <br />Turnquist, Linda Garcia and a number of citizens. <br /> <br />2. Reverend Rob Burnett, Victory Tabernacle, delivered the invocation. <br /> <br />3. Council considered approving minutes of the Regular Meeting of La Porte City <br />Council held February 12,2001. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Engelken to approve the minutes of February <br />12, 2001. Second by Councilperson Young. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Engelken, Griffiths, Porter, Young and Mayor <br />Pro Tern Clarke. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />4.
