TO PROVIDE PROFESSIONAL <br />SERVICES FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A PARKS MASTER PLAN FOR THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE APPROPIA TING FUNDS NOT TO EXCEED $45, 000.00 TO <br />FUND SAID AGREEMENT; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITHT THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve Ordinance 2001-2481 as <br />presented by Mr. Stephen Barr. Second by Councilperson Ebow. The motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Sutherland, Engelken, Ebow, Porter, Gay, Young, Clarke and Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />13. Council considered approving Ordinance No. 2001-2474-A amending the original <br />Industrial Waste ordinance to reflect changes in the court of injunctive relief. <br /> <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2001-2474-AN ORDINANCE <br />AMENDING CHAPTER 74, "UTILITIES", ARTICLE II, "INDUSTRIAL WASTE", <br />OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, SAID ARTICLE <br />BEING THE INDUSTRIAL WASTE ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, <br />REGULATING THE DISCHARGE OF INDUSTRIAL WASTE INTO PUBLIC <br />SEWERS OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS PROMULGATING REGULATIONS <br />AND ESTABLISHING CHARGES FOR SERVICES RENDERED PROVIDING THAT <br />ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE <br />DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND SHALL UPON CONVICTION BE <br />FINED NOT TO EXCEED TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000.00), AS <br />PROVIDED IN APPENDIX B OF THE CODE OR ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF <br />LA PORTE; EACH DAY OF VIOLATION SHALL BE DEEMED A SEPARATE <br />OFFENSE; CONTAINING SEVERABILITY AND REPEALING CLAUSES; <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Ebow to approve Ordinance 2001-2474-A as <br />presented by Mr. Steve Gillett.
