Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the City to enter into an <br />Industrial District Agreement and an ordinance authorizing the City to execute a Water <br />Service Agreement and Sanitary Sewer Service Agreement with Don L. and Martha T. <br />Tuffli Trust. <br />Director of Planning Doug Kneupper presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2000-IDA-61 — AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING <br />THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE OF AN INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT <br />AGREEMENT WITH DON L. AND MARTHA T. TUFFLI TRUST FOR THE TERM <br />COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 2001, AND ENDING DECEMBER 31, 2007, MAKING <br />VARIOUS FINDING AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Warren to approve Ordinance 2000-IDA-61 as <br />presented by Mr. KneupTer. Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing a contract between the City of La <br />Porte and Commodore Construction Corp. for construction of City Hall <br />expansion/renovations; appropriating $1,688,438 plus a contingency of $84, 421 to fund <br />said contract. <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2001-2509 — AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND <br />AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND <br />COMMODORE CONSTRUCTION CORPORATION, FOR CONSTRUCTION OF <br />CITY HALL EXPANSION/RENOVATIONS, APPROPRIATING $1,688,438 PLUS A <br />CONTINGENCY OF $84,421, TO FUND SAID CONTRACT MAKING VARIOUS <br />FINDING AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />
