Motion was made by Councilmember Engelken to approve Ordinance 2003-2607 as presented by Mr. Kneupper. Second by Councilmember Griffiths. The motion carried. Ayes: Mosteit, Engelken, Ebow, Beasley, Griffiths, Warren, Young, Meismer and Malone Nays: None Abstain: None 14. Council to consider approval or other action of an ordinance executing an agreement with Claunch and Miller, Inc. to provide professional engineering services for waterline replacement in the amount of $42,565.00. Director of Public Works Steve Gillett presented summary and recommendation and answered Council's questions. City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 2003-2608 - AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN ENGINEERING AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE AND CLAUNCH & MILLER, INC., FOR PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR WATERLINE REPLACEMENTS; APPROPRIATING NOT TO EXCEED $42,565.00 TO FUND SAID CONTRACT; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Council to consider approval or other action of authorizing the reappointment of Subsidence District Board Member Jodi (Bobo) Norris as recommended by Mayor Norman Malone. Motion was made by Councilmember Warren to approve the reappointment as presented by Mayor Malone. Second by Councilmember Meismer. The motion carried. Council to review the Dangerous Building Board of Inspection findings and then authorize a public hearing for the purpose of condemning and ordering demolition of these structures.
