The motion <br />carried. <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Ebow, Engelken, Beasley, Griffiths, Warren, Young and Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: Meismer <br />17. Council considered a consent agenda as follows: <br />a. Consider awarding bid for golf course and parks equipment as recommended in the <br />amount of $163,327.00. <br />b. Consider authorization to. amend the Motor Pool Fund to purchase a 2003 Ford marked <br />Patrol Unit from Lawrence Marshal Ford to replace Police Unit 53-83, a 1997 Ford, this <br />budget year. . <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Warren to approve the consent agenda and bids as <br />presented. Second by 'Couiicilmember Griffiths. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Engelken, Ebow, Beasley, Griffiths, Warren, Young, Meismer and Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />18. Administrative Reports <br />Acting City Manager John Joerns reminded Council of the Chamber of Commerce <br />Installation Banquet on Thursday, January 23, 2002, at Sylvan Beach Pavilion. Mr. Joems <br />informed Council of an automobile accident today, involving a La Porte police officer; the <br />officer's injuries were not as serious as first thought, he was released from the hospital. <br />19. Council Comments <br />Councilmembers Mosteit, Engelken, Ebow, Griffiths, Beasley, Warren, Young, Meismer <br />and Mayor had: comments. <br />20. EXECUTIVE SESSION — PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS <br />LAW, CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, 551.086, TEXAS GOVERNMENT <br />CODE, (CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING <br />REAL PROPERTY, DELIBERATION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR <br />DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, DELIBERATION REGARDING <br />SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION <br />OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION, DELIBERATION <br />REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS). <br />Council retired into Executive Session at 8:37 p.m. <br />Council reconvened the Council Meeting at 10:10 p.m. <br />21. CONSIDERATIONS AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ITEMS CONSIDERED IN <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />There was no action taken during Executive Session. <br />
