City Council Regular Meeting, Wa~op Meeting and Public Hearing - Apri12.04 -Page 7 <br />15. The Regular Meeting closed and the Workshop Meeting opened at 8:15 p.m. <br />Council to discuss considering revisions to the Solicitor's Ordinance. <br />It was the consensus of Council directing staff to move forward with making revisions to the Solicitor's <br />Ordinance including provisions on the age of person soliciting and insurance considerations and bring back for <br />Council action at a future date. <br />16. The Workshop closed and the Regular Meeting reconvened at 8:20 p.m. <br />17. Council to receive report from Chairperson Chuck Engelken regarding the Audit Committee. <br />18. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />City Manager Feazelle reminded Council and Staff of Public Service Recognition Week on May 3-9, 2004; <br />Employee Appreciation Picnic on Saturday, May 22, 2004, at the Wave Pool; Early Voting will be held at City <br />Hall in the Council Chambers from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. beginning Wednesday, Apri128, 2004, and ending <br />Tuesday, May 11, 2004, with an additional day scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 2004; Election Day is <br />Saturday, May 15, 2004; The Main Street Committee Meeting are held on the ls` and 3`~ Monday of each <br />month; and the Plant Manager's Breakfast will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2004, at 7:30 a.m. at Sylvan <br />Beach Pavilion. <br />19. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br />Councilmembers Engelken, Griffiths, Beasley, Ebow, Meismer, Young and Mosteit had comments. <br />20. EXECUTIVE SESSION -PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, <br />CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, 551.086, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE, <br />(CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING <br />EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION, DELIBERATION <br />REGARDING ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS. <br />551.071 - (Pending Litigation) -Meeting with City Manager and City Attorney to discuss pending litigation. <br />551.072 - (Land Acquisitions) -Meet with City Manager and City Attorney regarding land acquisitions. <br />551.074 = (Personnel Matter) -City Manager Evaluation <br />Council retired to Executive Session at 8:30 p.m. and the Regular Meeting reconvened at 10:12 p.m. <br />There was no action taken during Executive Session. <br />21. CONSIDERATIONS AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ITEMS CONSIDERED IN EXECUTIVE <br />SESSION <br />22. Council to consider possible amendments to the City Manager's Employment Agreement dated February 10, <br />2003. <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Engelken to approve the Ci Manager's Employment Agreement as <br />presented. Second by Councilmember Ebow. The motion carried. <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Ebow, Beasley, Griffiths, Engelken, Young and Meismer <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />
