Update on Beacon Project — Chairman Jim Schul provided Council with an overview of Beacon. <br /> 17. The Workshop Meeting closed and the Regular Meeting reconvened at 7:12 p.m. <br /> 18. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br /> Ms. Feazelle informed City Council she attended the State of the County address today and there was a tribute <br /> to the late Mayor Norman Malone. <br /> Ms. Feazelle stated the Home Grant Closing is May 28, 2004 at 330 N. 5 Street. <br /> Ms. Feazelle announced the Run -Off District 5 Early Voting will be held at the City Hall Council Chambers <br /> beginning June 2, 2004 and ending on June 15, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday June 5, 2004 <br /> at City Hall Council Chambers from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Election Day is Saturday, June 19, 2004. <br /> Early Voting for Mayor and District 6 Special Election will be held at the City Hall Council Chambers <br /> beginning July 7, 2004 and ending on July 20, 2004 from 8:00 a.m. — 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday July 10, 2004 <br /> at City Hall Council Chambers from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Election Day is July 24, 2004. <br /> 19. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> Councilmembers Engelken, Griffiths, Beasley, Ebow, Moser, Young and Mosteit had comments. <br /> 20. EXECUTIVE SESSION — PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, <br /> CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, 551 -087, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE (CONSULTATION <br /> WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, DELIBERATION <br /> REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFR OR DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, DELIBERATION <br /> REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION OF <br /> ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION, DELIBERATION REGARDING ECONOMIC <br /> DEVELOPMENT NEGOTIATIONS) <br /> 551.072 — Meet with City Manager and City Attorney for the purpose of deliberating the purpose of <br /> deliberating the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property <br /> 551.073 — Meet with City Manager and City Attorney for the purpose of deliberating a negotiated contract for <br /> a prospective gift or donation to the City of La Porte <br /> Council retired to Executive Session and the Regular Meeting reconvened at 8:33 p.m. There <br /> was no action taken during Executive Session. <br /> 21. CONSIDERATIONS AN POSSIBLE ACTION ON ITEMS CONSIDERED IN EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> 22.
