They thanked Mayor and City Council for such a great facility, and informed Council they appreciate the services provided, s. CONSENT AGENDA A, Council to consider approval of the Minutes of the Regular Meeting and Public Hearings held on August 23, 2004. B. Council to consider approval of an ordinance authorizing an agreement with Null Lairson for auditing services for a one-year period (September 30,2004). C. Council to consider adopting an ordinance amending Fiscal Year 2004-05 Budget for the Hotel/Motel Occupancy Tax Fund for the one time transfer to the Sylvan Beach Fund for repairs on the pier. D. Council to consider amending Ordinance No, 2001-2505 confirming appointments for the members of the Civil Service Commission, Motion was made by Councilmember Griffiths to table items C and D. and approve items A and B as presented, Second by Councilmember Moser. Peter Griffiths withdrew motion and each item was discussed and voted on independently, A, Motion was made bv Councilmember Griffiths to approve Item A as oresented. Second by Councilmember Moser. Ayes: Beasley, Mosteit, Engelken, Moser, Rigby, Clausen, Porter and Griffiths Nays: None Abstain: None B, Councilmember Rigby had questions regarding this item. Motion was made by Councilmember Griffiths to approve Items B as presented, Second by Councilmember Rigby. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND CITIZENS AND TAX PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNCIL ON ANY ITEM POSTED ON THE AGENDA Norvell Cone of 1517 Garden Walk, Deer Park, Texas 77536 requested Item 10 be put back on the table to move forward, so he can get on with his life. Paul Hickenbottom of 521 South 3rd Street, La Porte, Texas 77571 voiced his concerns regarding the health insurance changes, 7. Open Public Hearing - Mayor Porter opened the Public Hearing at 7:02 p.m. Review by Staff - Interim Planning Director Wayne Sabo provided an overview of taking action on an ordinance for 1.75 acres ofland located along Spencer Highway to rezone the property from R-l to GC for proposed Fire Station No, 2 to be located at 9710 Spencer Highway.
