Council to consider awarding bid for Global Positioning System (GPS) and Robotic Total <br />Station (RTS) Survey Equipment to Surveyor's Instrument Company. <br /> <br />Councilmember Rigby requested this item be pulled for discussion. Mr. Sabo answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />G. Council to consider approval or other action on the attached agreement which authorizes the <br />City Manager to enter into a Water Service Agreement for water service to 9515 Spencer <br />Highway, Deer Park, Texas. <br /> <br />H. Council to consider approval of an ordinance authorizing the City Manager to execute a <br />Water Service Agreement with Revak Turbo Machinery Services. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Rigby to approve the Consent Agenda, except for Item D, <br />as presented. Second by Councilmember Engelken. <br /> <br />Ayes: Beasley, Engelken, Moser, Mosteit, Rigby, Clausen, Porter, Ebow and Griffiths <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br /> <br />ADDENDUM ITEM <br /> <br />Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance vacating, abandoning and <br />closing the alley in Block 1104, Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas (Ordinance 2004-2794). <br /> <br />Interim Planning Director Wayne Sabo presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />This item was originally placed on the October 25, 2004 Agenda; however, it was tabled with no <br />action. At this time we are returning to Council to ask for direction or other issues concerning the <br />wording of the ordinance, appointment of Board Members for the Building Code Appeals Board, <br />created by existing Ordinance #04-2733 and/or direction regarding possible changes to Section 3 <br />of the existing ordinance. <br /> <br />The members of this Board are required to be a resident or operate a business within the <br />community. Council suggested having staggering terms on the Board. Councilmember Chuck <br />Engelken suggested having training.
