Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing the City <br />Manager to Execute Change Order No.1 with Hale-Mills in the amount of $79,402.00 <br /> <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Attorney Knox Askins read: ORDINANCE 2893 AN ORDINANCE APPROVING <br />AND AUTHORIZING CHANGE ORDER NO.1 FOR THE LA PORTE POLICE <br />DEPARTMENT BUILDING PROJECT; APPROPRIATING THE SUM NOT TO <br />EXCEED $79,402.00, TO FUND SAID CONTRACT; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS <br />AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH <br />THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Clausen to approve the Ordinance 2893 as presented <br />by Mr. Gillett Second by Council member Griffiths.
