Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing a Utility <br />Extension Agreement between the City of La Porte, TIRZ # I, La Porte Redevelopment <br />Authority and 65 La Porte, Ltd. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Attorney Knox Askins read: ORDINANCE 2895; AN ORDINANCE APPROVING <br />AND AUTHORIZING A UTILITY EXTENSION AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN <br />THE REINVESTMENT ZONE NUMBER ONE, CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, THE LA <br />PORTE REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, CITY OF LA <br />PORTE, TEXAS AND 65 LA PORTE, L TD; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND <br />PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Ebow to approve the Ordinance 2895 as presented by <br />Mr. Joerns Second by Council member Griffiths. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance amending Fiscal Year <br />2005-06 Budget. <br /> <br />Assistant City Manager Cynthia Pearson presented summary and recommendation and <br />answered Council's questions. <br /> <br />City Attorney Knox Askins read: ORDINANCE 2836-C; AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />THE FISCAL YEAR 2005-06 ADOPTED BUDGET OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; <br />PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Moser to approve ordinance as presented with the <br />exception of pulling item D only. Second by Council member Beasley.
