<br />Regular Meeting, Public Hearing and Workshop Meeting -December 11, 2006 <br /> <br />Page 7 <br /> <br />Planning Director Wayne Sabo presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: ORDINANCE 2962 -AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE AND THE PORT OF HOUSTON AUTHORITY, FOR <br />CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE OF A TEMPORARY ROAD ON NORTH <br />AVENUE J RIGHT-OF-WAY, FROM HIGHWAY 146 TO NORTH 6TH STREET MAKING <br />VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Ebow to approve Ordinance 2962 as presented by Mr. <br />Sabo. Second by Council member Moser. The motion carried <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Engelken, Ebow, Clausen, Rigby and Porter. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None. <br /> <br />15. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing (PID) <br />Development Agreement between City of La Porte and 65 La Porte, LTD. <br /> <br />Interim City Manager John Joerns presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: ORDINANCE 2963 -AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT BY AND <br />BETWEEN THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS AND 65 LA PORTE, L TD; MAKING <br />VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Council member Rigby to approve Ordinance 2963 as presented by <br />Mr. Joerns. Second by Council member Engelken. The motion carried <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Engelken, Ebow, Clausen, Rigby and Porter. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None. <br /> <br />16. Council to consider approval or other action between the La Porte Development Corporation <br />and Consultivo Group LLC and expenditure of Corporation funds not to exceed $75, 000.00 <br />to fund said agreement. <br /> <br />Consideration of the item was not necessary due to there being a quorum of City Council at <br />the Joint City Council/La Porte Development Corporation and City Council approving this <br />item at the Joint Meeting. <br /> <br />17. Council to consider approval or other action regarding an agreement with Bay Area Houston <br />Economic Partnership to provide economic development services. <br />
