Public Hearing - Council to conduct a public hearing to consider the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation for keeping the domestic livestock ratio as per requirements in Section 106-742 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte. Open Public Hearing - Mayor Porter opened the public hearing at 6:42 p.m. Planning Director Wayne Sabo presented summary and recommendation and answered Council's questions. Public Input: There were no citizens wishing to speak on this item. Recommendation of Planning and Zoning Commission - to keep the domestic livestock ratio as per requirements in Section 106-742 of the Code of Ordinances. The Public Hearing was closed at 6:47 p.m. 11. Council to consider approval or other action regarding the Planning and Zoning Commissions recommendation for keeping the domestic livestock ratio as per requirements in Section 106-742 of the Code of Ordinances. Motion was made by Council member Rigby to approve recommendation as presented by Mr. Sabo. Seconded by Council member Clausen. Ayes: Mayor Porter, Mayor Pro Tern Rigby, Moser, Clausen, Engelken, Mosteit, Ebow and Malone. Nays: None Abstain: None Absent: Beasley 12. Council to consider passage or other action regarding Ordinance No. 3018 and 3020- regarding the condemnation of two substandard structures. Building Official Debbie Wilmore presented summary and recommendation and answered Council's questions. Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read: Ordinances 3018, CONSIDER APPROVAL OR OTHER ACTION REGARDING ORDINANCE DECLARING THE BUILDING LOCATED AT 202 S. BLACKWELL STREET, LOCATED IN CITY OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS CONDEMNED, CONFIRMING THE IDENTITY OF THE RECORD OWNERS TO ENTIRELY REMOVE OR TEAR DOWN SUCH BUILDINGS; ORDERING THE SAID OWNER (S) TO COMMENCE SAID REMOVAL OR DEMOLITION WITHIN TEN (10) DAYS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THE APPLICABLE ORDINANCE; AND TO COMPLETE SAID REMOVAL OR DEMOLITION WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS FROM THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ORDINANCE; ORDERING THE DANGEROUS BUILDING INSPECTION BOARD TO PLACE A NOTICE ON SAID BUILDING (S) ORDERING THE CITY SECRETARY TO FORWARD A COpy OF THE APPLICABLE ORDINANCE TO SAID OWNERS; PROVIDING FOR THE REMOVAL OF SAID BUILDING (S) BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE IF NOT REMOVED BY SAID OWNERS IN THE MANNER PROVIDED HEREIN; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF; AND FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW.
