What is the Gulf Coast Coalition of Cities (GCCC)? <br /> <br />The GCCC is a coalition of political subdivisions in the Greater <br />Houston area that represents the interests of its members on gas <br />and electric utility matters before the Public Utility Commission, <br />the Railroad Commission, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas <br />and the courts. <br /> <br />. Who are the mem bers of the GCCC? <br /> <br />Current members include the cities of Alvin, Dickinson, <br />Friendswood, Lake Jackson, La Marque, League City, Missouri <br />City, Mont Belvieu, Nassau Bay, Spring Valley, Sugar Land, and <br />Texas City. <br /> <br />. What utilities serve the members of GCCC? <br /> <br />Members of the GCCC are served by Texas New Mexico Power <br />Company ("TNMP"), CenterPoint Energy Gas and CenterPoint <br />Energy Electric. Some members are dually certificated and receive <br />power from bothelectric utilities. <br /> <br />. In what cases has the GCCC participated? <br /> <br />The GCCC has been an active intervenor in all of the major <br />electric ratemaking proceedings involving TNMP and CenterPoint <br />during the last decade. These include the unbundled cost of <br />service cases, final fuel reconciliation proceedings, gas and electric <br />rate cases as well as the stranded cost cases. GCCC has been <br />active before the Railroad Commission and PUC and in various <br />appeals in the courts of PUC decisions. <br />
