<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting, Public Hearings and Workshop Meeting held on January 12, 2009 <br /> <br />Page 3 <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br /> <br />Public Comments: There were no public comments. <br /> <br />The Public Hearing was closed at 6:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Recommendation of the Planning and Zoning Commission - recommended Council to <br />approve the ordinance amending Chapter 106 of the code of Ordinances, changing the <br />standard parking space size for 34, 60 and 90 degree parking from 10ft. to 9ft. wide and <br />maneuvering aisle width from 28-foot to 25-foot for 90-degree parking (Ord. 1501-N6) <br /> <br />8. Council to consider approval or other action regarding Ordinance 1501-N6. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney read Ordinance 1501-N6- AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 106 "ZONING" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA <br />PORTE BY AMENDING ARTICLE VI. "OFF-STREET PARKING", SECTION 106-835 <br />"DESIGN STANDARDS (ALSO SEE FIGURES 10-1, 10-2 AND 10-3)", BY ALLOWING <br />NINE (9) FOOT WIDE STANDARD PARKING SPACE FOR 45, 60 AND 90-DEGREE <br />PARKING; AND A TWENTY-FIVE (25) FOOT MANEUVERING AISLE FOR 90-DEGREE <br />PARKING; MAKING CERTAIN FINDINGS OF FACTS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT, <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING FOR THE <br />PUBLICATION OF THE CAPTION HEREOF; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Enqelken to approve Ordinance 1501-N6 as <br />presented by Mr. Tietiens. Councilmember Malone seconded the motion.
