Council to consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance approving and <br />authorizing an interlocal agreement between the City of La Porte and Harris <br />County, for the utilization by the City of La Porte of three motor vehicles leased by <br />Harris County (Ord. 3126) - K. Adcox <br /> <br />F. Council to consider approval or other action renewing Stop Loss Coverage <br />contract with Unimerica - H. Weger <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Moser to approve the consent aqenda as presented. <br />Councilmember Engelken seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Mayor Pro Tem Clausen, Malone, Engelken and Rigby. <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Black, Ebow and Porter <br /> <br />6. Petitions, Remonstrance's, Communications, Citizens and Tax Payers wishing to address <br />Council- (Limited to five minutes) <br /> <br />Kathryn Aguilar - Ms. Aguilar noted concerns with the Town Square project. She informed <br />Council there was a lack of trust of city officials causing citizen concerns. Concerns <br />include: <br /> <br />Failure to maintain and insure the Pavilion. <br />Engaging in contract on town square project with an unqualified citizen. <br />Failure to eliminate conflict of interest within the organization. <br />Failure to balance the interest of citizens through the planning and zoning process. <br />Examples are the hotel on Fairmont and Bayshore Elementary relocation. <br /> <br />Noted she was happy to see the increased policy efforts towards ethics. <br /> <br />She noted that Garson Silvers was not a good citizen. <br /> <br />She further noted concerns with a lifestyle center in the community. <br />
