<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting, Public Hearing and Workshop of the La Porte City Council held on April 13, 2009 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />A. Mayor Porter and Police Chief Ken Adcox presented a proclamation to Wanda <br />Richard and Marcus Upchurch of the Police Department for "National Public <br />Safety - Telecommunications Week". Mayor thanked them for the wonderful job <br />that they do. <br /> <br />B. Mayor Porter recognized the following members of the Municipal Court for a Traffic <br />Safety Award: Judge Denise Mitrano, Lynda Kilgore, Lisa Syzdek, Mary Ann <br />Harrison, Sonya Cates, Beverly Washmon, Jorge Reynaga, Mary Reed, Veronica <br />Rodriguez and Wendy Elliott. <br /> <br />C. Mayor Porter recognized and congratulated Matt Daeumer (Police Department) as <br />"Employee of the Second Quarter". <br /> <br />5. Consent Agenda - Any item may be removed by a Council person for discussion <br /> <br />A. Council to consider approving minutes of the Regular Meeting and Workshop <br />Meeting for La Porte City Council held on March 23, 2009 - M. Gillett <br /> <br />B. Council to consider approving or other action regarding an ordinance approving <br />Industrial District Agreements with Kior Inc. (Ord. 2007-IDA-114) - R. Bottoms. <br /> <br />C. Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to <br />secure a resolution for the submission of the Crime Victim's Liaison Grant through <br />the Office of the Attorney General for further funding for the Crime Victim's Liaison <br />position (Res. 2009-04) - K. Adcox <br /> <br />D. Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to <br />execute a contract with Angel Brothers Enterprises, L TD for repaving and <br />waterline replacement in Valley Brook subdivision - S. Gillett <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Enqelken to approve the consent aqenda as <br />presented. Councilmember Ebow seconded the motion. Petitions, Remonstrance's, Communications, Citizens and Tax Payers wishing to address <br />Council - (Limited to five minutes) <br /> <br />Phillip Hoot, 927 Seabreeze shared comments from the last council meeting. Thanked <br />Mayor for all his hard work and dedication in his tenure with the city. Thanked <br />Councilmember Ebow for their talks at community events. He asked Council to consider a <br />third party investigation of the five points due to public concerns. <br />
