Council to consider approval or other action authorizing the City Manager to enter into a <br />purchase agreement accepting the Dell, Marketing LLC proposal which uses the State of <br />Texas Department of Information Resources contracts. - J. Suggs <br /> <br />IT Director/Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs presented summary and <br />recommendation and answered Councils' questions. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Engelken to approve the purchase agreement <br />accepting the Dell Marketing LLC proposal, as presented by Mr. Suggs. Councilmember <br />Ebow seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Clausen, Engelken, Rigby, Black, Ebow and Porter <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Malone <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone left the table. <br /> <br />11. Council to consider approval or other action regarding ordinances authorizing the <br />renaming of the Senior Citizen Center to the Norman L. Malone Senior Citizen center and <br />the renaming of the Northside Ball Field to Deotis Gay Sr. Memorial Filed - (Ord. 3132 and <br />3133) - M. Porter <br /> <br />Mayor Porter presented summary and recommendation and answered Councils' <br />questions. <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3132, AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING THE RENAMING OF THE SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER <br />TO THE NORMAN L. MALONE SENIOR CITIZEN CENTER, MAKING VARIOUS <br />FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATING TO THE SUBJECT, FINDING COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Mayor recommended the effective date be after May 1st. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember Black to approve Ordinance 3132 with the striking of <br />Section 2 of the ordinance. Councilmember Ebow seconded the motion. Motion carried. <br /> <br />Ayes: Mosteit, Moser, Clausen, Engelken, Rigby, Black, Ebow and Porter <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: Malone <br /> <br />Councilmember Malone recused herself from voting on Ordinance 3132, renaming the <br />Senior Citizen Center. <br />
