Second by Councilmember Mosteit. Motion carried unanimously. Ayes: Engelken, Martin, Clausen, Mosteit, Moser, Leonard, Zemanek and Mayor Rigby Nays: None Abstain: None Absent: Black Motion was made by Councilmember Mosteit to deny the approval of item B and bring back an item in the future to approve the Uniform Code. Second by Councilmember Leonard. The motion carried. Consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance appointing members to various City of La Porte Boards, Commissions, and Committees as desired - (Ord. 3289) - Mayor Rigby Mayor Rigby presented summary and recommendation and answered Councils' questions. Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3289, AN ORDINANCE APPOINTING MEMBERS TO VARIOUS BOARDS, COMMISSIONS, AND COMMITTEES, OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE; PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; CONTAINING A REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Councilmember Clausen to approve Ordinance 3289 and appoint Councilmember Zemanek to the Drainaqe Committee. Second by Councilmember Enqelken. Motion carried unanimously.
