Public Hearing - Discuss proposed amendments to Chapter 106 "Zoning" of the Code of <br />Ordinances allowing shipping containers as assessor structures in Large Lot (LL) <br />residentialJ General Commercial (GC)J Business Industrial (BI) and Light Industrial (L1) <br />zoning districts - T. Tietjens <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby opened the Public Hearing at 7:36 p.m. <br /> <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Councils' questions. <br /> <br />Public Input: Marylee Nolley had questions/concems regarding containers being used as <br />housing structures. <br /> <br />Tony Villarreal had concerns with exceptions to rules during emergency situations such as <br />a hurricane. <br /> <br />Norma Elliot - requested the City to consider just painting containers rather than having to <br />have a structure built on the outside. <br /> <br />John Nolley - noted concerns with pitched roofs being required. <br /> <br />Recommendation of Planning and Zoning Commission - The Planning and Zoning <br />Commission recommended approval with a 6-0 vote. <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby closed the Public Hearing at 8:13 p.m. <br /> <br />9.
