Minutes of Regular Meeting and Public Hearing of La Porte City Council on October 11, 2010 8 EXCEED TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS ($2,000); PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION OF THE CAPTION HEREOF; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Council member Mosteit to approve Ordinance 3290 as presented. Second by Councilmember Enqelken. Motion carried. Ayes: Engelken, Martin, Mosteit, Zemanek, Clausen and Mayor Rigby Nays: Moser and Leonard Abstain: None Absent: Black 10. Consider approval or other action authorizing the Mayor to send Independent Accountant's Report on Town Plaza Project to Harris County District Attorney for review - Mayor Rigby Fiscal Affairs Committee Chairman Engelken provided the Council with a report and noted they are recommending the audit report be sent to the District Attorney for review so they may issue an opinion. The Fiscal Affairs Committee further recommended the City follow the recommendations for policy changes suggested by the audit firm. Motion was made by Councilmember Enqelken to approve Mayor filling out complaint form and sendinq it to the District Attorney's Office for review and issuance of opinion. Second by Councilmember Leonard. The Motion carried. Ayes: Engelken, Martin, Mosteit, Zemanek, Moser, Leonard, Clausen and Mayor Rigby. Nays: None Abstain: None Absent: Black 11. Receive Report from La Porte Development Corporation Board - Chairman Chuck Engelken Chairman Chuck Engelken provided a report from the La Porte Development Corporation Board. 12. Receive Monthly Drainage Report from Staff - S. Gillett Public Works Director Steve Gillett provided the monthly Drainage Report. The next Drainage Committee Meeting will be held on November 1, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. 13. Administrative Reports - R. Bottoms October 7, 2010 - Plaza by the Bay Fall Series - Molly and the Ringwald's - 7 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. October 11,2010 - City Council Meeting - 6:00 p.m.
