Minutes of Regular Meeting and Public Hearing of La Porte City Council on June 14, 2010 4 <br />Nays: None <br />Abstain: None <br />Absent: None <br />Petitions, Remonstrance's, Communications, Citizens and Tax Payers wishing to address <br />Council on any item posted on the agenda (Limited to five minutes) <br />Marylee Nolley - 2819 E Street, La Porte, Texas 77571 - Ms. Nolley informed Council she <br />has concerns with the property notification to homeowner's when closing streets and <br />alleys. In addition, she had concerns with the insurance deductible noted on the baseball <br />agreement. <br />Vicky Campise - 1902 Roscoe, La Porte, Texas 77571 -requested the sign ordinance to <br />expand existing grandfather sign list to include all existing sign posts. She advised many <br />were left off the list. <br />7. Council to continue Public Hearing from April 26, 2010 City Council Meeting to discuss <br />recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission to amend the Code of <br />Ordinances of the City of La Porte, Chapter 106 "Zoning", related to regulation of on and <br />off-premise signs within the Main Street District Overlay - T. Tietjens <br />The Public Hearing was continued at 6:34 p.m. <br />Planning Director Tim Tietjens presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Council's questions. <br />A) Proponents <br />B) Opponents <br />Bill Manning Jr. - 11728 H Street, La Porte, Texas was opposed to the <br />recommendation from Planning and Zoning. <br />Chuck Rosa - 812 South Virginia, La Porte, Texas, was opposed to the sign ordinance <br />being recommended. <br />Phillip Hoot - 927 Seabreeze, La Porte, Texas -was opposed to the sign ordinance <br />being recommended. <br />C) Proponents rebuttal <br />Mayor Pro-Tem Leonard closed the Public Hearing and reconvened Regular Meeting <br />at 7:04 p.m. <br />Consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance amending Chapter 106, "Zoning" <br />of the Code of Ordinances of the City of La Porte relating to regulation of on and off- <br />premise signs within the Main Street District Overlay (Ord. 3241) - T.
