<br />Minutes of Regular Meeting, Public Hearing and Workshop Meeting of La Porte City Council on September 13, 2010 3 <br /> <br />Ted Powell-1700 Roscoe - addressed Council regarding agenda items 10, 12, and 15. Mr. <br />Powell is against items 10 and 12 but is in favor of item 15 that would allow citizens to <br />address Council before any action is taken on consent agenda items. <br /> <br />Kathryn Aguilar - 3119 Fondren addressed Council with concerns regarding the City of La <br />Porte's 2010-2011 Fiscal Year Proposed Budget. <br /> <br />Vickie Campise 1902 Roscoe - addressed Council with concerns of available parking <br />space downtown La Porte with business created in the opening of Smokes Wings at 324 <br />W.Main. <br /> <br />7. Public Hearing - Council to discuss City of La Porte 2010-2011 Fiscal Year Proposed <br />Budget - M. Dolby <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby opened the Public Hearing at 6:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Finance Director Michael Dolby presented summary and recommendation and answered <br />Councils' questions. <br /> <br />Public Input: Phillip Hoot - 927 Seabreeze addressed Council regarding his concerns with <br />the increase of property tax and solid waste fees. <br /> <br />Recommendation of Staff - Council to adopt Fiscal Year 2010-2011 Proposed Budget. <br /> <br />Mayor Rigby closed the Public Hearing at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />8. Council to consider approval of other action regarding an Ordinance approving and <br />adopting the Budget for the City of La Porte, Texas for the period of October 1, 2010 <br />through September 30, 2011 - (Ord. 3270) - M. Dolby <br /> <br />Assistant City Attorney Clark Askins read Ordinance 3270, AN ORDINANCE APPROVING <br />AND ADOPTING THE BUDGET FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, FOR THE <br />PERIOD OF OCTOBER 1, 2010 THROUGH SEPTEMBER 30,2011; FINDING THAT ALL <br />THINGS REQUISITE AND NECESSARY HAVE BEEN DONE IN PREPARATION AND <br />PRESENTMENT OF SAID BUDGET; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilmember EnQelken to approve Ordinance 3270 as presented <br />by Mr. Dolby. Second by Councilmember Mosteit.
