5. Petitions, Remonstrance's, Communications, Citizens and Tax Payers wishing to address <br /> Council on any item posted on the agenda (Limited to five minutes) <br /> Chuck Rosa, 812 South Virginia - spoke against the donation of land as mentioned in item 6C on <br /> the consent agenda. <br /> Thomas P. O'Connell, 9100 SW Freeway, Houston, Texas — spoke in support of a resolution (HR <br /> 1489) — Glass - Steagall that is in legislation at this time and asked for the support of City Council. <br /> Dennis Daulton, 10938 Lasso Ln., Houston, Texas — spoke in support of the resolution (HR 1489) <br /> — Glass - Steagall and also asked for the support of City Council. <br /> Brenda Brown, 631 Fairfield, Shoreacres, Texas — said that she owns property located at 109 S. 3rd <br /> and 113 S. 3rd Street and asked several questions concerning the building and relocation of the <br /> proposed new fire station #1 on 3 street. She raised several concerns, including drainage, <br /> location, noise, vibrations, lights, and asked how it would be funded. She asked that her concerns <br /> be taken into consideration. <br /> Carl Betts, 109 S. 3 — said he'd like to see the proposed new fire station be relocated. <br /> Angela Brown, 113 S. 3 — says that she hears walkie- talkies and vibrations from the current fire <br /> station located on 3 street, and said there isn't enough parking now, and she would like to see the <br /> new fire station be moved to another location. <br /> Pam Summers, Seabrook — (Bay Are Houston Convention Visitors Bureau) — thanked the City of <br /> La Porte for their support for encouraging tourism and their positive impact on the economic <br /> development in this area. <br /> 6. Consent Agenda <br /> A. Consider approval or other action of minutes of the Regular Meeting of La Porte City <br /> Council held on April 25, 2011 — P. Fogarty <br /> B. Consider approval or other action approving an ordinance vacating, abandoning and <br /> closing the alleys in Blocks 373, 374, and 376, La Porte, Harris County — T. Tietjens <br /> C. Consider approval or other action regarding an ordinance authorizing the donation of <br /> Lots 17 -18 and Lots 19 -20, Block 101, Town of La Porte Harris County, Texas to La Porte <br /> Chapter, Bay Area Habitat for Humanity, a Texas Non - Profit Corporation, for the <br /> construction of affordable housing — T.
