Councilmember Mosteit moved to accept Scenario F and directed staff to research 4B and Hotel <br />Motel funds for possible funding of the improvements to the Lomax Park. Councilmember <br />Zemanek seconded. MOTION PASSED. <br />Ayes: Mayor Rigby, Councilmembers Engelken, Zemanek, Kaminski, <br />Clausen, Mosteit, Leonard, Martin and Moser <br />Nays: None <br />Absent: None <br />9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />(a) La Porte Development Corporation Board Meeting, Monday, October 22, 2012 <br />(b) City Council Meeting, Monday, October 22, 2012 <br />(c) City Council Meeting, Monday, November 12, 2012 <br />(d) Thanksgiving Holidays — Thursday, November 22, 2012, and Friday, November 23, 2012 <br />City Manager Corby Alexander thanked the Police Department, Municipal Court and numerous <br />individuals who attended at the Jennie Riley Community Center for an excellent National Night <br />Out community event. <br />10. COUNCIL COMMENTS regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community <br />members, city employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual <br />information or existing policies — Councilmembers Kaminski, Zemanek, Leonard, Engelken, Mosteit, <br />Clausen, Martin, Moser and Mayor Rigby. <br />Councilmember Mosteit thanked everyone involved for a great National Night Out and thanked City <br />Council and staff on behalf of constituents in District 1 for the passage of improvements to the <br />Lomax Park and arena. <br />There were no additional comments from other Councilmembers or Mayor Rigby. <br />11. EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />The City Council reserves the right to meet in closed session on any agenda item should the need <br />arise and if applicable pursuant to authorization by Title 5, Chapter 551, of the Texas Government <br />Code, including, but not limited to, the following: <br />Texas Government Code, Section 551.071(1)(A) — Pending or Contemplated Litigation — State <br />vs. Port of Houston - Sound Mediation <br />Texas Government Code, Section 551.071(1)(A) — Pending or Contemplated Litigation — Tammy <br />Cooper vs. City of La Porte <br />City Council recessed the regular meeting to convene an executive session at 7:05 p.m. to discuss <br />the State vs. Port of Houston — Sound Mediation and Tammy Cooper vs. City of La Porte. <br />12.
