Presentation, discussion, and possible action to move forward with the New City Hall <br />project. [Louis R. Rigby, Mayor] <br />Mayor Pro Tern Engelken moved to approve moving forward with the New City Hall project utilizing <br />Option 3 and Option 4 and moving forward with the most feasible: Councilperson Bentley seconded <br />the motion: the motion was adopted. 7-2. Councilpersons Williams and Helton voting against. <br />9. REPORTS <br />a. Receive report of the Fiscal Affairs Committee. [Councilperson Engelken] <br />Councilperson Engelken said the committee met, received the purchasing card report and a strong <br />quarterly investment report, and set the next meeting for July 10. <br />b. Receive report of the La Porte Development Corporation Board meeting. [Councilperson <br />Engelken] <br />Councilperson Engelken said the committee met, approved a Mutual Rescission and Release <br />Agreement with R Favorite Things, LLC to terminate an Economic Incentive Agreement, approved <br />a reimbursement payment to Marty Campise, and set the next meeting for May 22. <br />10. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />• City Council meeting, May 8 <br />• La Porte Community Fencing Ad Hoc Committee meeting, May 8 <br />• Drainage and Flooding Committee meeting, May 8 <br />• Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, May 18 <br />• City Council meeting, May 22 <br />The City Manager thanked the Council for appointing the Redistricting Ad Hoc Committee. <br />11. COUNCIL COMMENT Hear announcements concerning matters appearing on the agenda; items <br />of community interest; and/or inquiries of staff regarding specific factual information or existing <br />policy from the Mayor, Councilpersons, and City staff, for which no formal action will be <br />discussed or taken. <br />The Council congratulated those recognized at the beginning of the meeting; thanked the Fire <br />Department, EMS, OEM, and other first responders who turned out for this morning's plane crash; <br />noted the citizens of District 1 look forward to the groundbreaking of the sewage project in their District; <br />reminded all of the Sylvan Beach Festival this Saturday; encouraged residents to come out and vote. <br />
