<br />John Peters - 10832 Dogwood Dr. - La Porte, TX. 77571 addressed the committee in regards to <br />when actual improvements for drainage and flooding situation in the Fairmont Park East <br />Subdivision will begin. <br /> <br />Chae S. Catlin - 10935 Birch Dr. La Porte, TX. 77571 informed the committee she likes being a <br />citizen of the La Porte community but would like to see actual improvements from the city on <br />the drainage and flooding issues. <br /> <br />4. Receive report from City Staff on obtaining right-of-way on property in the Creekmont <br />Subdivision. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Steve Gillett reported to the committee options for obtaining right-of-way <br />on property in the Creekmont Subdivision. <br /> <br />Mr. Gillett informed the committee proper flow of the storm sewer system would have to be <br />coordinated with Harris County Precinct Two. <br /> <br />The committee inquired of the projected cost of the project and if it would be performed by City <br />Staff. <br /> <br />The committee directed staff to contact Harris County Precinct Two and move forward with the <br />project obtaining right-of-way on property in the Creekmont Subdivision. <br /> <br />5. Receive an update from City Staff on Short Term projects in the City of La Porte for Drainage and <br />Flooding. <br /> <br />Director of Public Works Steve Gillett and Gary Struzick of Klotz Associates reported on five <br />locations of Short Term Projects: Catlett Drive, the parking lot of Creekmont Park, Driftwood <br />Drive, Fleetwood Drive, and Glen Meadows. <br /> <br />6. Administrative Reports. <br /> <br />John Randolph with Harris County Flood Control District reported the county is moving forward <br />with the F1016 project and waiting funding to actually begin the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Randolph also reported the Director has updated photos he requested of the Little Cedar <br />Bayou project and is reviewing to see the amount and details of work to be performed Harris <br />County Flood Control District. <br /> <br />John Saavedra with Harris County Precinct Two reported they are expecting drawings for the <br />sewer design on Spencer at the end of the month and within 45-60 days afterwards bids are <br />expected to go out for construction. <br /> <br />Mr. Saavedra also informed he will be awaiting information from City Staff to begin assistance <br />with the Creekmont property right-of -way project. <br />
