Drainage and Flooding Committee Meeting - May 18, 2009 Page 2 Mr. Struzick stated that Alternative 4 would also be further discussed, along with a cost estimate for Alternative 4 in Appendix A. Mr. Struzick apologized to the committee for the report being late and noted it was his fault and not city staff for the delinquency of the report. Chairman Mosteit noted that, due to the short time period the Committee had to review the report, the Committee would discuss and develop a recommendation to the City Council on which alternative to use for the Fairmont East Project. 5. Administrative Reports Planning Director Tim Tietjens provided the committee with an overview of staff updates. Harris County Precinct 2 John Saavedra noted Valleybrook project is complete. He noted heard the following action items were requested of him by the drainage committee: Desilting Fairmont Park roadside ditches. Mr. Davis requested the County check on driveway over flood control ditch. Ensure there is a representative from flood control at these meetings. Find out what is happening with the home buyout in the Brookglen Subdivision. 6. Set date for next meeting The Drainage and Flooding Committee set the next meeting date for June 3, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. 7. Committee Comments Committee members Moser and Mosteit brought items before the committee. Committee member Moser requested a report from John Joerns at the next meeting on the recent items he brought to his attention. 8.
