Mr. Saavedra will set up a meeting between the City of La Porte and Flood Control. City Manager Ron Bottoms will be the point of contact for the City of La Porte. Chairperson Mosteit requested the elected officials be included in the initial meeting if necessary. Additionally, he requested the City of Deer Park be included as well. Mr. Engelken noted he would like better communication to the citizens. Mr. Engelken left the meeting at 5:35 p.m. Mr. Struzick then reviewed the four alternatives for Fleetwood Drive and answered questions from the Committee and the citizens. Mr. Mosteit requested that a plan to finance the proposed improvements be presented before the Committee makes a final recommendation to the full City Council. 5. Administrative Reports Ron Bottoms noted he is putting together budget information and will bring it to the next meeting. John Randolph of Harris County Flood Control noted the F1016 project bid was awarded. 6. Set date for next meeting The Drainage and Flooding Committee set the next meeting date for July 29th, at 5:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers. 7. Committee Comments A. Matters appearing on agenda B. Inquiry of staff requiring a statement of specific factual information or a recitation of existing policy. Committee member Clausen and Chairperson Mosteit brought items to the table. Chairperson Mosteit asked the citizens if they had any additional information on flooding to please forward it to the City in writing. 8.
