Watson, Tom Helenberg, Spud Miller, Cliff <br />Hyde, John Merritt, Charles Boyle, Duane Matula. <br />PRESIDING: Jim Hudgens, Chairman <br />+ + + <br />CALL TO ORDER: <br /> <br />MINUTES - SPECIAL MEETING <br />Jim Hudgens called the special meeting to order. <br />READING OF MINUTES: None <br />OLD BUSINESS: None <br />NEW BUSINESS: Jim Hudgens explained to the group present about <br />Section 16.48, subsection A of the La Porte. Fire Code and why the <br />letters that they had received were sent out and what the Fire <br />Code Committee was trying to accomplish. He then asked for comments <br />from the group. <br />Mr. Bruce Angel, 711 West Main St., La Porte, representing Angel's <br />Self Service Stations and Oil Co. stated that he could not get <br />fuel during the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m., and be- <br />cause of the 2,100 gals. load allowed, it would take too many <br />trips to fill his tanks and would eventually put him out of <br />business. <br />John Brown, 115 West Main St., La Porte, representing Brown's <br />66 Service, stated that 2,100 gals. in a trailer is more dangerous <br />than a full one . <br />Joe Jardina, 400 South Broadway, La Porte, representing Joe's <br />Phillips 66 Service, stated that he could not get fuel during <br />these hours. <br />
