• Special Meeting 03-20-79, page 2 Anthony Dittrich, 4830 Red Bluff, Pasadena, Texas, representing Dickson Oil Co., who is a Gulf Distributor in La Porte, stated that the more trips that he had to make to La Porte would cost more money and he would have to pass this cost on to the operator who in would turn pass it on to the consumer, and it would also be a inconvenience to his company. O.J. Watson, representing Bayport Aviation at the La Porte Airport, stated he cannot get fuel at night, and doesn't all- ways know when the fuel will come in. Tom Helenberg and Spud Miller, representing Gulf Coast Aviation, at the La Porte Airport, stated because of the special hours, it would cost more because it would be a special delivery of fuel. Cliff Hyde, representing Cliff Hyde Aviation, La Porte Airport, stated he never knows when the fuel will come in. He also stated he ordered a load of fuel two weeks ago and it shill has not come in. John Merrittt, 111 N. Eleventh St., La Porte, representing Merritt Shell, stated he had no problems getting fuel at the hours set out in the code. Chairman Jim Hudgens then asked for comments from the La Porte Fire Code Review Committee members. Rusty Shepperd stated I don't see how operators can stay in business as the code now stands. He feels a change is needed in this section. Jimmy Crate stated that, I feel that it is not feasible to enforce this section at this time because of the fuel allocation. Fred Westergren said he would be in favor to modify or drop this part of the code. J.M. Goodman stated, I feel we should modify this section of the code. Vic Taylor stated, I feel we should modify this section of the code. Jim Counts stated, there needs to be a more clear definition of areas served because there are areas in La Porte which are more dangerous to be served at certain hours of the day. J.J. Meza stated, he felt that this section of the code should be amended. D.R. McLaughlin stated again what the committee was trying to prevent as far as accidents were concerned with this section of the code and asked the operators present, how many had tried to get fuel at these hours, and for the most part the operators stated that they had not tried to get fuel at the hours but felt that they probable could not.
