Regul$ T~.eeting, La Forte Planing and Zoning Com: ~issi ~n r:arch 14, 1 g62 <br />page 2 ~ • <br />l~;rs Lois Compton made a motion seconded by ~Ialter Roberson that; <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the La <br />• Porte City Commission that a building set back line 100 feet <br />sol~th of "J" Street be required from the Railroad Tracks to <br />Sylvan Peach Park to provide for the extension of the Fairmont <br />Parkway. <br />Riotion passed. <br />r~r. C. L. Pitman suggested t:~at the Zoning Commission consider <br />rezoning the Navigation District Land between Broadway and Tenth <br />Street, more specifically he ~•ras referring to La Porte Outlots <br />25, 26, 27, 22,23, 24, 9, 10, and 11. r1r Pitman feels that <br />this property ought to be in some Commercial category. This <br />subject eras discussed breifly with it being pointed out th:..t th's <br />property had been considered before and that it had been <br />recommended th~:.t it be honed for a Single Family Dwelling District <br />in order to preserve it for future development. <br />ins C. L. Pitman pointed out tl~a.t the west half of Plock 411 was <br />left unzoned on the Zoning Map. <br />C <br />:~;r. Etaell A. Brigham made a motion seconded b~- Fred Ruff that: ~, <br />The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission recommend to the <br />La Porte City Cor~,mission that the tirest ~.alf of Block ~~ 411 be '• <br />zoned "B" Commercial or Loc21 Retail District. and that the west ~~ <br />half of Block 417 be rezoned from "D" Single Family Dwelling District <br />to "B" Co~:.mercial or Local Retail District. ~ <br />• Motion passed. <br />r,1r.
