• • <br />Joint Public Hearing - 9/16/74 - Continued 2 <br />• <br />under consideration for rezoning were mailed on <br />August 28, 1974, and that a Public Notice of this <br />hearing was published in the official newspaper of the <br />City on August 29, 1974. A copy of said notice and <br />property description is attached and made a part of <br />these minutes. <br />Mayor Thomas located the property in question on the <br />map. <br />Mayor Thomas asked if there was anyone desiring to <br />speak in opposition to the rezoning. There being <br />none, asked if there was anyone to speak in favor of <br />the rezoning. There being none, declared the joint <br />public hearing closed. <br />The meeting of the City Commission was recessed while <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission met to consider <br />the rezoning. <br />Mayor Thomas called the meeting to order and read <br />the Planning and Zoning Commission's recommendation <br />to approve the rezoning of certain properties adjacent <br />• to Southern Pacific Railroad from Residential to <br />Commercial with Special Use Permits for Light Industry. <br />Motion by Commissioner Price and seconded by Commissioner <br />Kibodeaux to approve the rezoning of certain properties <br />adjacent to Southern Pacific Railroad from Residential <br />to Commercial, with Special Use Permits for Light <br />Industry.
