• <br />• <br /> <br />Joint Public Hearing - 6/16/75 - Continued <br />After a meeting of the Planning and Zoning Board, Mr. <br />Walter Roberson recommended rezoning of this property. <br />2 <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by <br />Commissioner Cline to rezone the east one-half of Outlot 14, <br />Nebraska Syndicate. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />n <br />U <br />4. JOINT PUBLIC HEARING - CONSIDER REZONING THE EAST ONE- <br />HALF OF BLOCK' ~6'4'S , A'LL OF' BLOCKS 6 ~4 6 , 6 4 7 , 6 4 8 ; THE EAS T <br />ONE-HALF OF BLOCK '652,~ALL OF BLOCKS 651, 650, 649; THE <br />EAST ONE-HALF OF BLOCK 8 , ALL OF BLOCKS 682, 683, 684; <br />THE EAST ONE-HALF OF BLOCK" 88, ALL OF BLOCKS 687, 686, <br />AND 685, TOWN OF LA P'ORTE FROM 'RESIDENTIAL TO COMMERCIAL, <br />AND NO SPECIAL USE PERM'ITS~ALLOWED - Mayor Thomas as ed <br />i t ere were any present w o opposed rezoning the above. <br />Mr. Lloyd Jones, 1320 West Tyler, La Porte, Texas, discussed <br />his opposition to rezoning of Blocks 649 and 650. <br />Mayor Thomas then asked if there were any present to speak <br />for rezoning this area, Mr. Walter Roberson spoke for <br />it, explaining that the area was surrounded by commercially <br />zoned areas. <br />The Planning and Zoning Board then met and Mr. Roberson <br />stated it was their recommendation this area be rezoned <br />commercial. <br />Motion was made by Commissioner Cline, seconded by <br />Commissioner Boyle to approve rezoning of the above <br />from residential to commercial. Motion carried by <br />the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Love, Kibodeaux, Cline, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />D <br />Margie oyen, Ci Clerk <br /> <br />
