The meeting was called to order by Chairman Doug Latimer at <br />7:00 P.M. <br />Members of the Commission Present: Chairman Doug Latimer, <br />Members Bobby Blackwell, Lola Phillips, Karl Johnston <br />Members of the Commission Absent: Members Janet Graves, <br />Bruce Hammack, Charlie Doug Boyle <br />Citv Staff Present: Assistant City Manager Richard Hare, <br />Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, City Engineer Bob <br />Speake, Director of Community Development John Joerns, <br />Assistant City Secretary Laura Hall, Engineering Secretary <br />Tina Anger <br />Others Present: Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Brantley, Mr. and Mrs. <br />William Bower, Mr. Rod Lynn, Mr. Larry Jureski, Mr. Tommy <br />Moser, Ms. Adair Sullivan, Mrs. Georgia Fleener, Ms. <br />Margaret Conner, Ms. Barbara Neal of the Bayshore Sun. <br />2. Chairman Latimer called the Public Hearing to order at 7:02 <br />P.M. <br />. ,. <br />• A Public Hearing was held to consider the request of Mr. <br />and Mrs. Arlie Brantley to rezone Lots 161 and 162, Block <br />10, Section 2 of Spenwick Place from residential to <br />commercial. <br />A. Those wishing to speak in favor of the rezoning request <br />Mrs. Brantley stated that she had explained her request at <br />a prior meeting of the Planning & Zoning Commission <br />Mr. William Bower stated that he was in favor of the <br />rezoning request of the Brantley's. <br />Chairman Latimer read a letter that was sent to the <br />Commission from Mr. Russell French stating that he was in <br />favor of the rezoning request. (A copy of Mr. French's <br />letter is attached to these minutes for permanent record.) <br /> <br />
