No one did. <br />Chairman Latimer asked if anyone else had anything to say <br />either for or against the rezoning request. No one did. <br />Motion was made b~Bobbv Blackwell to anorove the request <br />of the Brantley's to rezone Lots 161 and 162, Block 10,. <br />Section 2 of Soenwick Place from residential_to commercial. <br />Second by Karl Johnston. The motion carried, 4 ayes and 0 <br />nays <br />Ayes: Latimer, Blackwell, Johnston, Phillips <br />Nays: None <br />A Public Hearing was held to consider the request of the <br />Eagles Lodge in La Porte to rezone Lots 17 through 32, <br />Block 149, City of La Porte, from residential to commercial <br />to accommodate a parking lot for the new Eagles Lodge <br />A. Those wishing to speak in favor of the rezoning request <br />Chairman Latimer asked if anyone wished to speak in favor <br />of the rezoning request for the Eagles Lodge. <br />Mr. Rod Lynn spoke in favor of the rezoning request stating <br />that the only plans for the property_Were for a parking <br />lot. He stated that there had been some problem with the <br />parking lot entrance and exit exiting on 7th Street. He <br />stated that if that would cause a conflict the parking lot <br />could be made to exit in a different location. He also <br />stated that the Senior Citizens Park would remain in its <br />present location. <br />Chairman Latimer asked if anyone else wished to speak in <br />favor of the rezoning request. No one did. <br />Those wishing to speak in opposition to the rezoning <br />request. <br />Mr. Larry Jureski asked to speak to the Commission about <br />his concerns of having the parking lot exit onto 7th <br />~1._. <br />
