The Commission considered the approval of the minutes of <br />the Regular Meeting held on April 25, 1985. <br />Motion was made by Bobby Blackwell to approve the minutes <br />as presented Second by Karl Johnston. The motion carried <br />4 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Latimer, Blackwell, Johnston, Phillips <br />Nays: None <br />5. The Commission considered the request of Georgia Fleener to <br />rezone Lots 1 - 32, Block 653, Town of La Porte, on 17th <br />Street from commercial to industrial. <br />Chairman Latimer called on Mrs. Fleener to present her <br />request. Mrs. Fleener stated that it would be to her <br />benefit to have the property considered commercial or light <br />industrial because she was trying to sell the property. <br />She stated that the property was in a light industrial zone <br />and that she felt her property would be put to best use, by <br />being zoned in line with the other light industry in the <br />area. <br />Chairman Latimer asked if Commission'~iembers had any <br />discussion on this item. There being no further <br />discussion, Chairman Latimer stated tl~~t this item would be <br />scheduled for a public hearing on June 6, 1985. <br />6. The Commission then reviewed and discussed the proposed <br />Southern Pacific rezoning. Chairman Latimer explained that <br />this rezoning matter had been started in early 1982, but <br />had never gone to City Council for final approval after the <br />Commission had made their decision. Chairman Latimer <br />stated that he would like to have this item placed on the <br />May 16th agenda for discussion. <br />~ :f <br />~~! .. <br />
