~~ <br />• <br />Minutes of Planning and Zoning <br />October 3, 1985 <br />Page 2 <br />Chairman Wilson asked if there was anyone who wished to <br />speak in favor or in opposition to Mr. Pardoe's request <br />for rezoning. AIo one did. He then asked if anyone was <br />there to represent Mr. Pardoe. Ms. Rita Patterson <br />approached the microphone and stated her name and that <br />she was with Decker McKim Realtors. <br />No one else had anything to say in reference to this <br />rezoning so Mr. Wilson moved to Item 2. <br />Item 2 - <br />Request of Mr. Ron McCrary to rezone lts. 1-32, blk. 653 <br />from their present "C" commercial classification to "I" <br />industrial. The purpose being to make the property <br />consistent with other properties in the immediate area <br />and to make the property easier to sell or lease. <br />• Mr. Paulissen told that as of now, there was no proposed <br />use for this property. This area is recommended to be <br />heavy industrial uses. It does compare favorably with <br />the Comprehensive Plan. <br />Chairman Wilson asked if there was an applicant present <br />to speak on behalf of the rezoning. Mr. David Wheat, <br />Vice President of Bayport National Bank. He stated that <br />Mr. Paulissen had stated the request quite succinctly. <br />There were no questions or oppositions to the request. <br />Chairman Wilson declared the public hearing closed. <br />He then asked for a motion on item no. 1 to approve the <br />request as proposed. Motion by Mr._Boyle, Seconded _by <br />Mr. Joh~~on~._~he_mQt~on carried with_no opposition. <br />Chairman Wilson entertained a motion for recommendation <br />by staff to allow request for rezoning on item 2. <br />Motion_m~~e_¢~Mrs_Boyle,.
