s • <br />LA PORTE PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION <br />MINUTES <br />MEETING OF AUGUST 20, 1987 <br />Chairman Doug Latimer called the meeting to order at 7:00 P.M. <br />Members Present: Chairman Doug Latimer, Commissioners Bobby <br />Blackwell, Lola Ohillips, Janet Graves, Inge Browder, Charles <br />Boyle, Jack Gresham <br />City Staff Present: Mark Lewis, City Inspector, Nina Bergeron, <br />Inspection Secretary, Joel Albrecht, Director of Community <br />Development, John Armstrong, Asst. City Attorney. <br />Others Present: Wayne Knox, Rev. Leroy Fleck, Janet Gray Warlick <br />Shawn Knox, H. P. Pfeiffer. <br />• Before beginning the public hearing, Mr. Latimer introduced Joel <br />Albrecht, Community Development Director, to the Planning & Zoning <br />Commission. <br />First order of business was the request of Wayne Knox for a Special <br />Conditional Use Permit under Section 10-302(10) of Ordinance ~~1501. <br />Mr. Knox ask the Commission to approve the request to build a barn at <br />10431 N. "P" Street, where in the future he also plans to build a home. <br />There being no one else wanting to speak on the above item, Mr. <br />Latimer closed the public hearing on Mr. Knox's request. <br />Next order of business was the request of First Assembly of God <br />Church for a Special Conditional Use Permit under Section 6-600(f) of <br />Ordinance #1501. Rev. Fleck is requesting the permit for joint parking <br />with the La Porte High School. The Joint Parking Agreement was signed <br />by all parties and submitted to the Commission. <br />At this time, Mr. Latimer closed the public hearing on the above <br />request. <br />Next item on the agenda was approving the minutes from the July 16, <br />1987 meeting. There being no correction on the minutes, a motion was <br />made and seconded to accept the minutes as read. Minutes were <br />approved. <br />• <br />
