PLANNING/ZONING MEETING ® • <br />MINUTES OF 4-13-89 <br />PAGE 5 OF 6 <br />n <br />U <br />The proposed N.C. zoning in Area II commences at a point located <br />at the centerline of Old Hwy. 146 approximately 150 feet north of <br />the Shady River Road, then west, north and west approximately 1300 <br />feet around flock No. 2 of the Shady River Subdivision to the <br />centerline of Taylor Bayou, then north easterly along Taylor Bayou <br />to a point which is the southeast corner of Lot No. 9, Block No. 4 <br />of Shady River Subdivision, Section II, then east approximately <br />550 feet to the centerline of Old Hwy. 146, then south along the <br />centerline to the point of commencement. The remaining portion of <br />Area II is comprised of the Shady River Subdivision, staff <br />proposes a "R-1" zoning classification. <br />The proposed N.C. zoning in Area III is bounded by the centerline <br />of Old Hwy. 146 on the west, the north boundary of Bay Oaks <br />Subdivision on the north, the east line of Lot No. 2 in Block No. <br />1, and Lot No. 2 and No. 15 in Block No. 2 on the east and the <br />centerline of Bay Oaks Dr. on the south. <br />The remaining portion of Area III is comprised of the Bay Oaks, <br />Bayside Terrace and Pine Bluff Subdivisions. Staff proposes a <br />"R-1" zoning classification. <br />The Chairman called for a vote of the proposed zoning lines <br />recommended by staff for Area II and Area III. All were in favor. <br />AREA I - An approximate 225 acre tract which is primarily <br />undeveloped. <br />Staff has proposed PUD with B.I. and L.I. and a commercial node <br />with the remaining area to be zoned "R-2". <br />The Chairman asked for a vote on the tract with the boundaries <br />being as follows: Bounded by the north right-of-way of McCabe Road <br />on the north, the west branch of Taylor Bayou on the east, the <br />north city limits line of Shoreacres on the south, and the <br />railroad on the west. The "R-2", bounded by the north <br />right-of-way of McCabe Road on the north, the centerline of Old <br />Hwy. 146 on the east, the north boundary of Shady River <br />Subdivision on the south and the west branch of Taylor Bayou on <br />the west. <br />The Chairman called for a vote on the proposed zoning for Area I <br />as described by staff. All were in favor. <br />Mr. Albrecht stated to the Commission and citizens present that <br />maps will be ready for public viewing Monday morning at City Hall. <br />Mrs. Graves called for a motion approving the Land Use, Park Zone <br />• and Zoning Maps to go to Public Hearing as a preliminary report. <br />A motion was made by Inge Browder and seconded by Bobby Blackwell. <br />All were in favor. <br />
