• • <br />• Page 3 of 7 <br />Planning 8c Zoning Commission <br />Minutes of September 15, 1994 <br />David Lange did not speak. <br />Jean Guillory left the meeting. <br />Sabino Ornelas, 710 N. 13th, is opposed to cattle at this location. <br />Pablo Ruiz did not speak. <br />Lisa Honeycutt Cook, 630 N. 13th, is opposed at this time, but wants to keep <br />an open mind until she learns more about the situation. <br />The applicant, Harold Mathews, amved and addressed some of the citizen's <br />concerns. Mr. Mathews said he has spent a lot of time trying to clean-up the <br />property and in doing so has found it has been used as a dumping ground. In <br />answering several questions he noted the following: <br />• Intends to construct a five strand barbed wire fence. <br />• ~ Land [brush and scrub trees] too dense to hold two head of cattle per acre; <br />will not attempt to run two head per acre. <br />• Does not intend to build a barn. <br />• Water supply from 16th Street. <br />• No subleasing. <br />• No roping arena. <br />• No leasing of horse stalls. <br />• No aerial defoliation. <br />• Hay and feed will be brought in as needed. <br />• Entrance expected to be located off Crest Lane. <br />• Will not be a feedlot. <br />• Has a continuous lease with the railroad. <br />
