• • <br />• <br />r1 <br />u <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING <br />November 2, 1995 <br />Members Present: Chairman Betty Waters, Commission Members Chuck Engelken, <br />Dottie Kaminski, Eugene Edmonds, Mazgazet Anderson, Howazd <br />Ebow <br />Members Absent: Melton Wolters <br />City Staff Present: Planning Director Guy Rankin, Building Official Mark Lewis, <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Planning Secretary Peggy <br />Lee, Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, Assistant City <br />Attorney Chazles Huber <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Waters at 6:05 PM. <br />II. APPROVE THE 1~IIrT[JTES OF THE JULY 20, 1995, MEETING. <br />A motion was made by Eugene Edmonds to approve the minutes. The motion was <br />seconded by Dottie Kaminski. Chairman Waters declazed the minutes approved as <br />presented. <br />III. CONSIDER THE PRELIMINARY PLAT OF THE "KROGER - FAIRMONT <br />PARKWAY CENTER SUBDIVISION", AN 11.067 ACRE MAJOR SUBDIVISION <br />LOCATED IN THE 1300 BLOCK OF WEST FAIRMONT PARKWAY. <br />Mark Lewis presented staff's report on the Kroger -Fairmont Parkway Center <br />Subdivision, which is located in the 1300 block of Fairmont Pazkway. He asked the <br />Commission to replace Exhibit A, included in their packet, with a revised plat drawing <br />distributed at the meeting. The significant differences between the two plat drawings aze <br />1) 14th Street is not included within the boundaries of the plat 2) the property included <br />in Block 865 has been extended 25 feet farther north. As a result of these changes, the <br />acreage involved in the plat is now changed from 11.067 to 10.904 acres. Being in <br />excess of ten acres, it is classified as a Major Subdivision. <br />• <br />Mr. Lewis reminded the Commission of the fact that the proposed Kroger is the <br />centerpiece of the subdivision, however, this is a five lot subdivision and should be <br />
