• • <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING <br />NOVEMBER 21, 1996 <br />Members Present: Chairman Betty Waters, Commission Members Chuck Engelken, <br />Eugene Edmonds, Dottie Kaminski, Melton Wolters <br />Members Absent: Howard Ebow, Michael Meredith <br />City Staff Present: Director of Planning Guy Rankin, City Engineer Doug Kneupper, <br />Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong, Planning Secretary Peggy <br />Lee <br />I. CALL TO ORDER <br />Meeting was called to order by Chairman Waters at 6:00 PM. <br />II. APPROVE NIINUTES OF THE OCTOBER 17,1996, REGULAR MEETING AND <br />PUBLIC HEARING. <br />A motion was made by Dottie Kaminski to approve the minutes of the October 17, 1996, <br />meeting. The motion was seconded by Chuck Engelken. All were in favor and the <br />motion passed. <br />III. CONSIDER APPROVAL OF THE PECAN CROSSING, SECTION II, <br />PRELIMINARY PLAT. <br />Mr. Rankin reported that Section II of Pecan Crossing is a four (4) block, fifty two (52) <br />lot section of the overall subdivision. <br />At the time staff's report was prepared, there were 13 items staff felt should be resolved <br />prior to preliminary plat approval. Since that time, the Developer has addressed all items <br />and staff's recommendation to the Commission was for approval. <br />A motion was made by Eugene Edmonds to approve the Preliminary Plat for Pecan <br />Crossing, Section II. The motion was seconded by Melton Wolters. All were in favor <br />and the motion passed. <br />IV. OPEN. PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER A REPEAT OF LOTS 5-28 AND THE <br />ADJACENT ALLEY OF BLOCK 133; TOWN OF LA PORTS, WHICH IS <br />FURTHER DESCRIBED AS BEING LOCATED IN THE 700 BLOCK OF S. <br />BROADWAY. <br />Chairman Waters opened the Public Hearing at 6:05 PM. <br />Mr. Rankin reported that the La Porte Independent School District requested the Replat <br />for the purpose of consolidating the alley and flanking lots into a single tract of property. <br />Staff reviewed the Replat and recommended Commission approval. <br />
