Planning and Zoning Colsission •
Minutes of April 16, 1998
Gray, addressed the Commission regarding detention for the
development.
Mr. Gray asked the Commission to approve the General Plan as
submitted but would like there to be additional discussion regarding
detention. He suggested the City consider a regional detention center,
approximately 10-15 acres south of Fairmont, somewhere in the Bayport
Industrial District that could be used to detain water draining to Clear
Lake. He feels this would eliminate the need to have so many smaller
detention sites scattered all around.
Staff recommended approval of the General Plan.
A motion was made by Sandie Staniszewski to approve the General Plan
for Fairmont Park East Subdivision, Sections Five, Six, Seven, Eight, and
Nine. The motion was seconded by Jim Zoller. All were in favor and the
motion passed.
IX. STAFF REPORTS
Mr. Rankin gave
developments.
X.
