BURCHFIELD DEVELOPMENT - MUNDO LA PORTE <br />Ms. Goodwin presented a summary of the proposed Burchfield development known as <br />Mundo La Porte <br />Lee Burchfield addressed the Commission: Mr. Burchfield has been working with Eddie <br />Dutko to develop a multi -family complex along SH146 @ McCabe Rd. The special <br />conditional use permit that was approved for the previously proposed development has <br />expired. Mr. Burchfield has been in contact with the Corps of Engineers about the <br />environmentally sensitive issues in the area. A conceptual layout of the complex was <br />distributed. <br />The Commission voiced concern that, as proposed, 418 units exceed the 180-unit <br />maximum established in the new multi -family regulations. Mr. Burchfield indicated it <br />would not be economically feasible to develop the project with 180 units, but hoped this <br />issue would not prohibit development. <br />IX. STAFF REPORTS <br />Ms. Goodwin reported on the following matters: <br />➢ The Planning & Zoning Subcommittee met on April 7`s. Their next meeting will be April <br />2r at 4:15 PM in the Planning Dept. Conference Room. <br />➢ The Land Use Map will be presented for City Councils consideration on April 28`h All <br />Commission Members are encouraged to attend the meeting. <br />X.
