PROPONENTS & OPPONENTS <br /> <br />Earl Shanks, 202 S. 3rd: No setbacks. Limit storage. No containers on streets. <br />Upstairs studio. <br /> <br />Jerry Carpenter, resident of block 55: 600 Block (EI Toro) for preservation, 400 <br />to Broadway; 600 to 146 less control. Use of grant funds to restore historical <br />buildings. City shouldn't tell property owners what can/can't be done. <br /> <br />Don Hulen, 302 S. Oak, Morgan's Point: Allow tin buildings. <br />Parking is an issue. How will plans impact rental properties at 3rd and 8th <br />Streets? Relax setbacks. <br /> <br />Neil Hovey: Parking problems. <br /> <br />Bob Schlenk, Vice-Chairman of Main Street Committee, 620 S. 4th: Opposes <br />District. Favors cleaning up properties. Remove setbacks. Find parking in area. <br />Fix sidewalks, street sweeping, and drainage on 2nd St. Lighten up on zoning. <br /> <br />Cliff Kirmss, lives on boat in Seabrook: Enough rules and regulations. Drainage <br />problems; dig out trench. Doesn't want to be told how to do buildings. <br /> <br />Brenda Brown, 631 Fairfield: Parking is problem (need alley), but none available. <br />Too strict. <br /> <br />Lisa Cook, 1517 Hwy. 146 S.: Parking is problem. Sidewalks. Awnings give <br />character. No more rules and regulations. <br /> <br />John Lair, 10844 Spruce Dr. S.: Wants less regulation. Committee to move <br />forward to take down ''fences''. Would like to see a positive approach of working <br />together. <br /> <br />Charlie Boyle, 119 S. 2nd: Relax regulations. Not many new businesses. Shell <br />alleys - City doesn't maintain or cover. Lights in alley. Mow grass. Need <br />ordinance to protect District from City and staff. <br /> <br />Steve Williams, representing property owner of 207 W. Main: Need more <br />communication with owners on Main St. Place Main Street Committee minutes <br />on website. <br /> <br />JJ Meza, resides in Fairmont Park and owns property on Main St.: Opposed to <br />regulations. Should not make all buildings look similar. <br /> <br />Sue Gale Mock-Kooken: Historian for Main Street Association willing to offer <br />pictures. <br />
