OPEN PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER REZONE REQUEST #R08-002 FOR 26.8206 ACRES <br />OF LAND LOCATED AT 727 OLD UNDERWOOD ROAD, FURTHER DESCRIBED AS TRS 1A, <br />2B, AND 6B, ENOCH BRINSON SURVEY, ABSTRACT 5, NICHOLAS CLOPPER SURVEY, <br />ABSTRACT 198, CITY OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS. THE APPLICANT, DOW <br />HYDROCARBONS & RESOURCES, INC., SEEKS TO REZONE THE PROPERTY FROM <br />GENERAL COMMERCIAL (GC) AND LARGE LOT RESIDENTIAL (LL) TO PLANNED UNIT <br />DEVELOPMENT (PUD). <br /> <br />Chairman Hal Lawler opened the public hearing at 6:02 p.m. <br /> <br />A. STAFF PRESENTATION <br />Staff's Report was presented by Masood Malik, City Planner. The applicant; Gary <br />Maybrey on behalf of Dow Hydrocarbons & Resources, Inc., is requesting a zone change <br />from general commercial and large lot to planned unit development. <br /> <br />The subject property consists of twenty-six acres of land located at 727 Old Underwood <br />Road. <br /> <br />B. PROPONENTS <br />Mr. Gary Maybrey of Colliers International on behalf of Dow Hydrocarbons & Resources, <br />Inc., spoke in favor of the zone change. <br /> <br />C.
