Consider approval or other action on Special Conditional Use Permit (SCUP) request #16- <br /> 91000004,tabled from the Regular P&Z Meeting of January 19, 2017. <br /> a. Staff Presentation <br /> City Planner Clowes gave staffs presentation. City Planner Clowes explained the few <br /> differences from the previously presented SCUP. <br /> b. Question and Answer <br /> Commissioner Smith asked about the required landscaping along the eastern boundary. City <br /> Planner Clowes stated that the required landscaping is minimal. The commission requested <br /> that additional landscaping be required along the eastern boundary. <br /> Commissioner Stockham requested that the required drainage interconnect be completed <br /> sooner rather than later. City Planner Clowes explained that that was addressed in the SCUP <br /> language. <br /> Chairman Lowler asked about the timing of the fence to the South. City Planner Clowes <br /> explained why the SCUP was worded the way it was. The commission asked that staff <br /> amend the language to require the southern fence to be built if the property to the south <br /> was developed as residential in the future. <br /> 6. Consider a recommendation to the City Council or other action on SCUP#16-91000004 with <br /> the two added conditions. <br /> Motion by Commissioner Kendrick to recommend approval with the proposed additional <br /> conditions. <br /> Second by Commissioner Smith. Consider a recommendation to the La Porte City Council on a proposed amendment to the <br /> Future Land Use Map component of the La Porte Comprehensive Plan by amending the land <br /> use designation for a 40 acre tract of land known as Tracts 1 and 1L,Johnson Hunter Survey, <br /> Abstract 35,from "Low-Density Residential"to "Commercial," "Mid-to High-Density <br /> Residential" and "Mixed Use." <br />
