CITY OF LA PORTE <br />INTER OFFICE MEMO <br />TO: PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD OF ADJUSTMENTS <br />FROM: DA*4 <br />ISSEN <br />RE: SPECIAL EXCEPTION- RICHARD HOOPER <br />I have received a request from Mr. Richard Hooper for <br />the granting of a special exception to the rear yard setback. <br />The property is described as section 2 lot 6 tract 14 of the <br />W. B. Root subdivision. This is better known as Spenwick. <br />There is no way to place a home on this piece of property and <br />meet the rear yard requirement. I have attached a copy of <br />both the plot plan and the legal description for your review. <br />The exception would allow the structure to be placed <br />within six feet of the rear property line on the west side of <br />the tract and fourteen feet on the east side. This request <br />is well within the parameters of the special exception <br />section of the zoning ordinance.
