This will better define and possibly reduce the number of people involved in the review <br />process. <br />3.Develop and consistently use checklists for each reviewer. The contents of each <br />checklist should be unique to the items for which each reviewer is responsible and <br />approved by the Planning Director. Periodically update the checklists as new or <br />recurring issues arise. The checklists can be provided directly to the applicants in <br />advance to better inform them of the requirements. Further the completed checklists <br />can also be provided to the applicants to eliminate the time and effort required to <br />compile all comments into one review letter. <br /> <br />4.Ensure all reviewers are submitting comments electronically in a <br />(Word document or NaviLine) using the checklists described above; also consider <br />requiring reviewers to provide marked-up plan sets for return to the applicant. <br /> <br />5.Ensure review deadlines for each application are communicated an for all <br />reviewers (inside and outside of the Planning Department). <br /> <br />6.Establish review turn-around time goals for re-submittals. <br /> <br />7.Establish and enforce a policy that additional comments will not <br />resubmittals. Exception: when the applicant has made changes to the plans subsequent <br />to the prior submittal. <br /> <br />8.Research the ability of NaviLine to assign a project number usin <br />number (if NaviLine tracking of site plans is continued). Currently, s <br />can not be entered until an address is assigned. This sometimes results in a delay of <br />processing while the address verification process is completed. <br /> <br />9.Ensure NaviLine is sending automatic notices of new site plan ap <br />all reviewers (if NaviLine tracking of site plans is continued). <br /> <br />10.Establish and post annually a schedule of deadline dates for sub <br />comments, resubmittals, and the corresponding Planning and Zonin <br />meeting date on which action will be taken (if applicable). <br /> <br />11.Consolidated review comments that are sent to the applicant should be provided to all <br />reviewers.
